Crazy Weekend

Image
This weekend was crazy. On Saturday, we went on a boat ride with all the boys and ate lunch together at the beach. It was my first time doing something like this. Seeing all the smiles on people's faces made this trip even more memorable. We didn't get home until late afternoon. We were gonna go to the mall but then it started raining really hard and the wind was quite strong, so our bus driver thought it wasn't safe for us to drive 45 minutes downtown and 45 minutes back in that type of weather. We then decided to order pizza and chill at home since most of these days we've been running around a lot with the American team.      Then on Sunday, we also had to wake up early to go on a little hike. It was really fun again to go with all the boys and continue to have fellowship with the American team. They are lovely people who genuinely care about all of us. The crazy thing is a lot of these Americans live in Torrance!!!! If I had met them earlier, I would have met t

Valentine's Day Party

Valentine's Day in Brazil was June 12th but we just celebrated together as a big family yesterday, 27th of July. Aunt Corenne gave a list of our boys names to the churches in the States and asked for people to write Valentine's Day cards to the boys. We got 4,000 cards !!! It was amazing! We only distributed 20 cards for each boy but they were thrilled!!!      Aunt Stephenie, a lovely lady from  Gardena Valley Baptist Church whose a part of the missions team, spoke about God's perfect love. It touched many people's hearts! The whole day I was making sugar cookies for the boys to have Valentine's Day cookies to decorate and eat. They had a lot of fun. A little testimony to share with you guys. Me and Jayson, another American, had to find a heart shaped cookie cutter. We had to look everywhere. I told Jayson that we should start praying because I really didn't know where would it be. We were at the last place to find it. Jayson found the Lord's Prayer

I had to leave Brazil because of a visa issue but that gave me a chance to see my family in the States. It was a huge blessing as my mom and brother flew from Taiwan to meet me in the States. I haven't seen my family in 9 months so it was really special to see them.     It was fun seeing my cousins again. We all grew up together so it was cool to see us all growing up being adults. 18 days went by fast as I come back to Brazil. It was an interesting feeling as I felt that Brazil was also my home. I was excited to come back to see everyone again. God gave me rest when I was in the States and He continues to guide my footsteps here in Brazil.       I got sick with something similar to Scabies a week before I had to dance for a 15 year old girl's birthday party.
