Valentine's Day Party

     Valentine's Day in Brazil was June 12th but we just celebrated together as a big family yesterday, 27th of July. Aunt Corenne gave a list of our boys names to the churches in the States and asked for people to write Valentine's Day cards to the boys. We got 4,000 cards!!! It was amazing! We only distributed 20 cards for each boy but they were thrilled!!! 

    Aunt Stephenie, a lovely lady from Gardena Valley Baptist Church whose a part of the missions team, spoke about God's perfect love. It touched many people's hearts! The whole day I was making sugar cookies for the boys to have Valentine's Day cookies to decorate and eat. They had a lot of fun. A little testimony to share with you guys. Me and Jayson, another American, had to find a heart shaped cookie cutter. We had to look everywhere. I told Jayson that we should start praying because I really didn't know where would it be. We were at the last place to find it. Jayson found the Lord's Prayer in Portuguese so he started reading it out loud. And I found a bag of cookie cutters but didn't see the heart shaped one. So I said to Jayson, "Keep reading!" Then seconds later, I saw the perfect heart shaped cookie cutter!!! I really loved how the Holy Spirit was guiding us as we allowed Him to lead.

    I was exhausted but by God's grace I'm still alive and breathing. I woke up at 5:30am to feed my dog, Caramelo and walk him. I saw the beautiful sunrise. I would love to watch it every morning... it was majestic. I can only sing God's praises when I see the breathtaking sunrise. 

    I hope you guys can experience this life-changing and perfect love of God every moment in your life! Love you guys!

Adjusting Once Again

     The Americans left 2 days ago. There were many tears shed including mine. I’ve only known them for 10 days and they are already family to me. I really felt like I was ministered by these lovely, faithful and pure-hearted disciples of Jesus. They are a gift from God and a demonstration of His love for all of us. For me personally, I felt that through this American team God was trying to say that He loves me and cares about me. He knows that I feel lonely in Brazil. He knows that I battle with anxious, helpless, frustrating and depressing thoughts. So He gifted me a dog 3 months ago. He gave me the chance to go to California a month and a half ago. Amazing Birthday Weekend

Something I've Never Wished For NO ONE has seen God at any time. But if we LOVE one another [with unselfish concern] , God ABIDES in us, and HIS LOVE [the love that is His essence abides in us and] is COMPLETED and PERFECTED in us.  1 John 4:12     Lots of things has happened and I should've blogged earlier but here I am now. I will share with you every blessing that has happened in the past few weeks.      First, IT WAS THANKSGIVING!!!!!! We had lovely friends from Indiana that came to visit us and we prepared a HUGE Thanksgiving dinner for all the boys and volleyball girls. We invited everyone we could! And we had a blessed time. It was really hard to practice self-control as we had mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, sweet potatoes and marshmallows, pumpkin pies, apple crumble, vanilla ice cream and the more! A very WARM Christmas

 It's... beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Christmas trees gladly wore the colorful lights of happiness, Joyful noises fill the small plaza spreading cheer here and there. Behind the glamorous decorations, There's somebody who's at the end of their rope, But they don't know they are not alone, His name is Prince of Peace His name is Emmanuel, the God who is with us.  His name is El Roi, the God who sees.     I know I'm a little behind on blogging but I'll make it up to you guys. Christmas season was tough, not gonna lie. Yes, I missed my family. Yes, I missed being in Germany. But it was stressful because of how busy I was. I don't know how Aunt Corenne and the family can do this every year. Christmas is a BIG deal.
