Crazy Weekend

This weekend was crazy. On Saturday, we went on a boat ride with all the boys and ate lunch together at the beach. It was my first time doing something like this. Seeing all the smiles on people's faces made this trip even more memorable. We didn't get home until late afternoon. We were gonna go to the mall but then it started raining really hard and the wind was quite strong, so our bus driver thought it wasn't safe for us to drive 45 minutes downtown and 45 minutes back in that type of weather. We then decided to order pizza and chill at home since most of these days we've been running around a lot with the American team.

Then on Sunday, we also had to wake up early to go on a little hike. It was really fun again to go with all the boys and continue to have fellowship with the American team. They are lovely people who genuinely care about all of us. The crazy thing is a lot of these Americans live in Torrance!!!! If I had met them earlier, I would have met them in the States when I was there a little over a month ago. We went hiking up to Convento da Penha, a Catholic church. We saw the whole view of the city. I love going on hikes to see the whole city and praying. We got back home and I had to do some chores and walk the dog. Then we went to church with all the boys again. It was a really nice service. The topic was about jealousy when Saul was jealous about David. The worship was amazing! The church tried to use more English in the service which was really cool.

    Here are some photos!

On the left is Rai and on the right is Roger. Both are graduates from Hope Mountain.

This is the view from the top of the mountain. It was only a mile hike.

More of the view from the top. It somewhat looks like Taiwan, right? XD

Vitor in the middle and Roger on the right again. Vitor is the closest to me among the boys.

Ana is 10 years old. She is the daughter of a couple that works at Hope Mountain.

This is Emy. She is Bella's dog. She is 9 years old but she's very cute!
