Waiting on the LORD
28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.29 He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.30 Even the youth shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall,31 But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.Isaiah 40:31 NKJV
These past 2 months have been a season of getting myself together. I finished the babysitting job but I continue to teach Mandarin to the 2 little kids. They are super cute and fun to teach. I miss the baby and the kids a lot, but I know that I need to prioritize my seminary studies as well as other things. I've gained a lot of weight because I stopped playing basketball... tennis and running. So, I've started to get back into playing sports and put myself on a diet. It's not easy but I know what I have to do.
As far as ministry and the church, I'm still praying about the direction I should be focusing on. It hasn't been easy. I went back to Hope Mountain at the end of September, which was super refreshing. I was planning on going back in October but I couldn't. I'm still thinking on what I should do for my birthday this year and also what I should do for Christmas. For my Birthday last year, I challenged myself to a half marathon and even though I felt like I almost died, I survived and even better, I loved it! This year, I was thinking of joining a tennis tournament, which I've never done before. I love challenging myself in doing something new, but maybe I should give it more time and try playing in a tournament next year. I haven't been taking many photos but I'll share a few with you. I've chosen Isaiah 40:28-31 because it's very encouraging to know that I do not need to rely on myself but trust in the LORD. It takes humility as well to know that I'm not strong enough, wise enough nor capable enough to do things on my own. But it's the LORD, the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth, that is all-knowing and all-capable. By His mercy and grace, He will help me through tough seasons in life. I hope this passage is encouraging to you, too.
