Special Month of February in Brasil

1It shall come to pass in the latter days
that the mountain of the house of the Lord
shall be established as the highest of the mountains,
and it shall be lifted up above the hills;
and peoples shall flow to it,
2and many nations shall come, and say:
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
to the house of the God of Jacob,
that he may teach us his ways
and that we may walk in his paths.”
For out of Zion shall go forth the law,
and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
Micah 4:1-2

February was a very special month! Lunar New Year! 🧧

I was able to preach again and this Taiwanese church held a special event for the Lunar New Year celebration!

As I continue to seek guidance from God, I’ve continued to build relationships with different people. I've also been really involved with the refugee ministry that I do with one of the YWAM bases here. In addition, I help with another refugee program that gives Portuguese classes to new immigrants. 80% of the students are Muslims. I continue to pray and preach at the Mandarin service at the Taiwanese Presbyterian Church in São Paulo, being very involved with the young adults, as I attend both of the  small groups. I understand that ministry is based upon building relationships, so I need to be really patient and to slow down to hear what God is saying.

Some highlights would be... going on a hike with the church's youth and young adults. It was great quality time with friends while enjoying nature. God is good indeed.

Another highlight would be just spending quality time with friends, especially with Camila, a missionary from Chile who is also a seminary student. God has been so gracious to me by giving so many good friends in this phase in my life. I know I can trust and love them as they also trust and love me. Together we all are striving to become more like Jesus, at the same time, we trust each other because Jesus is our firm foundation. Praise the Lord. Camila had to go back to Chile as she was only here for a short time. God will continue to take care of us wherever He plants us! The Holy Spirit satisfies all our needs. Another really good friend of mine who is in the UK now wrote me saying, "I don't believe that the world is so huge that we won't see each other again." Another friend who is doing missions in Germany wrote saying, "Even if we don't see each other again here, we know we will see each other at the table at the largest banquet." This is life, especially missionary life. I praise God for Camila's life and the lives of my many friends all around the world! Thank God for technology! We can still keep in touch!

God bless you all and thank you once again for reading and keeping me in your prayers. If you have any questions or prayer requests, please let me know! I love hearing from you!

This was the Chinese New Year event we hosted at church. I taught the workshop of making crosses out of strings. And the photo on the left is me and my friends. They were dressed up so beautifully with the Qipao. I looked like a red envelope. XD

I play volleyball and basketball every week! Keeping fit. Praise the Lord!

The photo on the left is me starting the evangelism training at church!!! Please keep praying for us! That the classes and workshops will go well and that God's will will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
The photo on the right is me with my fellow YWAMers visiting a Muslim family.

The photo on the left is when we went to the pastor's house during carnival break which was actually the same time as Chinese New Year. So we made dumplings and hung out.

I found a place to play basketball!!! It's at another church!
