Unshakable Kingdom

28 Therefore, since we have received an unshakeable Kingdom, let us have grace, through which we may offer service that will please God, with reverence and fear.

Hebrews 12:28 The Complete Jewish Bible

28 Do you see what we've got? An unshakable kingdom! And do you see how thankful we must be? Not only thankful, but brimming with worship, deeply reverent before God. For God is not an indifferent bystander.
Hebrews 12:28 The Message Bible
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
Hebrews 12:28 New King James Version

A lot has happened this week! After Mother's Day, our dance team was super excited to start practicing another dance. That same Sunday, we girls were looking at different dances to Christian worship songs on Youtube and had a great time together. As we got together on Monday, we decided to do a play with a dance in it so we can include the boys more. God led us to the story of the Prodigal Son, or the Lost Son. And I was super excited as we were choosing what song would go well with the story. It's always hard deciding things, and as a leader, I cannot make everyone happy. We only have a few people and they all have different opinions. It's tough being a leader as I tend to please people and be non-confrontational. But God is teaching me a lot. I'm not perfect and that's where Jesus shines through me. He is glorified in my strengths and weaknesses. Praise the Lord for He is faithful and always there for me. Anyways, we started practicing the play and the dance on Wednesday. It was a lot to learn! I knew it was going to be chaotic because the boys were joining in. But I tried really hard. I went out asking the boys and made a list as to who would come. The reality is these boys have schedules and meetings that they don't even know about. So many of them didn't come to the practice but the show must go on and I did not give up. It was chaotic but WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!!!! I didn't want to imagine how hard it would be to control the boys, but in the end, I really enjoyed the whole process! Thank God! I almost lost my voice that night. It was only two hours and I felt as if I was going to lose my voice. Haha! As things continued, I noticed that the girls had no interest in participating in the play and the boys cannot dance… so we made the decision to split the boys and girls as we were originally planning on doing. So, I was with the boys on Thursdays and possibly either on Saturdays or Tuesdays practicing the play. And I'll be with the girls on Mondays and Wednesdays. I need more wisdom! Please pray.

I've been able to host an American visitor who is a missionary and an engineer. He and his translator came and visited Hope Mountain and he is seriously thinking of moving to Brazil for long term. There's no words to describe how GOOD God is because He provided the right friendships for me to be able to connect people together. It's all from God. And I'm so grateful that I can host them and help them.

I've been trying to make mug cozies and red crosses with the special Chinese knot to start fundraising. Please pray for wisdom and strength. I love crocheting. It doesn't take me a long time to make it but I don't know if they look good or if people would want one! I'll be speaking at a church this weekend. It's a 16 hour bus ride to the main city, São Paulo, and then another 2 hours on the bus to the city, Guarujá. I'll be with a team member from JOCUM Casa and she'll be translating for me. I pray that everything will go well and it would be filled with the Spirit and led by Him! I will be giving out crosses and mug cozies! Thank you for all your prayers and let's continue this run together!

We went to the movies! These are the friends God has given me even in light of the fact that I'm moving soon to São Paulo. God is good!!! I'm very thankful and love each person in this photo.

This is our dance and theater group! It's with boys and girls!
Keep praying for us as the participation of the teens are a bit low but also for our communication between adults can be clear and affirmative.

We had many girls who came to church today.
It was awesome to see many of them again. Praise the Lord!!!

I was able to invite my dear friend, Silvia, with me to take the American engineer/missionary and his translator to see the city. We went to the beach and also went to the Convent, which you can see 4 cities all at one glance.
We had good fellowship time together. Love these people!!!

We went hiking. Seeing the city once again!

Caramelo is the sweetest dog ever. Seriously. He is my Brazilian passport.
He makes me Brazilian.

I've been learning Portuguese every day and crocheting some things to be able to fundraise. The middle photo is the ministry with the volleyball girls.

These again are the friends God has provided in this special transitioning season of my life. They are wonderful, down-to-earth people.

I was able to donate blood!!! It was so much fun!!! Would love to do it every 3 months.
