An ANSWER TO PRAYER

5 The LORD is gracious and righteous;

our God is full of compassion.

6 The LORD protects the simplehearted

when I was in great need, He saved me.

7 Be at rest once more, O my soul,

for the LORD has been good to me.

Psalm 116:5-7

An Answer to Prayer

There's no words to describe how God answered my prayer as YWAM (Youth with a Mission) Freiburg, Germany came to Brazil. I did my DTS (Discipleship Training School) in the fall of 2022, and since being in Brazil, I've been asking God to send them here. Amazingly, many of the staff and students of the DTS YWAM Freiburg got the same impression to come to Brazil this year for their outreach. On top of that, what an interesting timing, right? It's a time of transition for me, a very crucial time of transitioning from my old ministry to a new one, from Hope Unlimited to JOCUM Casa (JOCUM is YWAM). So, God sent YWAM Freiburg here for Brazil, for JOCUM Casa, for me personally. And vise versa, Brazil, JOCUM Casa and I were for them.

We did lots of worship and prayer time. I had the chance to practice hospitality, which I learned from Corenne while being at Hope Unlimited! We did lots of evangelism in different places with drug addicts, prostitutes and homeless people. We did evangelism in Japanese Town, which I loved. I made dumplings for the base and YWAM Freiburg and it was a huge success! Praise the Lord. I had time to catch up with my old friends, who were my classmates or leaders at my DTS. We had really blessed, deep, and fun conversations. If God calls me back to Germany, I would not object! But I know my time in Brazil isn't finished yet. I'm excited to serve in JOCUM Casa. The JOCUM community is nice. I met a lot of new people including wonderful Brazilians and Extraordinary People from YWAM Freiburg.

There's so much I want to share. But all I can say is God is good and all glory to HIM. He indeed loves me so much. We've experienced miracles of God confirming impressions at some specific places. We've experienced people coming to know God and accepting Him as their Lord and Savior. We've experienced breakthroughs as a result of true discipleship. As I was taking care of others, everyone else was taking care of me as well. God is good. He heard my every prayer. And He gave me so much more than I can ever imagine.

After serving in SΓ£o Paulo, I went to Rio to visit some friends. It was amazing as well. They had a family business that made aΓ§aΓ and popsicles. I saw the whole process on how they did it, and tasted a bunch of popsicle flavors like white chocolate, bubble gum, and more. This family really lives and walks in the Spirit (Galations 5:25).

I was only supposed to stay in Rio for four days! But I had a vision in the form of a dream about people receiving prayer at the altar call and felt that I should go to my friends' church's Carnaval Retreat. This church needed a breakthrough! I and all my friends felt the same way. And amazingly, God did it!!! On the third night, after the pastor spoke, he did an altar call for people who wanted to transform their lives and go deeper with Jesus to go to the front and receive prayer. I couldn't help but fall to my knees and praise God. Who am I to be able to witness this start of a breakthrough in this wonderful and loving body of believers? And if you live and walk in the Spirit, you would also sense that some walls were broken down that night. People were different, in a good way. That night, some of us, around 20 people, continued in worship and prayer for about 3 hours. There's a difference between talking and praying. There was one boy who "prayed" God's prayer. It had so much authority. It's giving me goosebumps even now when I am writing about it. It's not as common as it should be to hear and pray God's prayer. This boy was autistic. He couldn't talk properly, but he did. The Holy Spirit literally filled him up. When he prayed, he prayed for the city, for the state, and for BRAZIL. (I'm in tears right now...) He prayed that in this Carnaval season that God's name will be known. If you know what Carnaval is, it's literally the devil's festival. Carnaval means the "party of the flesh." No good thing comes out of Carnaval. People celebrate different entities, making big Carnaval trucks like Buddha and other worldly idols. In this season, we must proclaim God's name. Yes, we need to be focused and to have personal breakthroughs. But it's also important to see what God sees and to care about what God cares about! When the boy continued to pray what was on God's heart, people started to cry and started to speak in tongues. None of it was fake or for show. By the grace of God, twice I saw the Holy Spirit manifest Himself in the form of smoke for half of a second. God was there. I didn't cry or speak in tongues, but I was filled with peace, contentment and gratitude. The pastor, who preached that night, fell asleep even before the boy prayed. When he woke up, he said the worship and prayer time went really well and that God was there. And my response was, "Yeah! No kidding!!! I saw HIM!!!" God was real in that place, under the stars. God is gracious and faithful.

I wouldn't have traded these experiences for anything else. I'm so blessed and loved by God and people around me. Thank you all for your prayers and for reading this. May God bless you as well in your personal walk with God. May His goodness chase after you wherever you go, in Jesus' name. Love you all!!!

This is all in SΓ£o Paulo with JOCUM Casa and YWAM Freiburg.

I made lots of new friends from YWAM Freiburg. They bring me a lot of joy and I can see the pureness in them that reminded me why I wanted to be a missionary in the first place. I can see the fire and the desire of bringing the Gospel of peace and healing in these people.

We went to the bus station, the train station, the park, the crackland, the Japanese town, and the night club street to evangelize, to pray and to worship. We were just proclaiming God's name in these places and over the people. We got in touch with many homeless, prostitutes, drug addicts, and more. We've seen many resistances but also some whose hearts were opened.
Let's continue to keep these people in our prayers.

This is all in Rio with my friends.

The sky at the church retreat was breathtaking. I couldn't but just praise God for the wonders of the work of His hand.

I was able to share and encourage these girls who were in the dance ministry in the church about the importance of dance and missions. I was also able to share in one of their kids ministries and talked to kids who were 8-12 years old about God's heart for children and reminded them how much they are loved and how important they are to God and His kingdom.
