Giving God Everything

For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand;  it is I who say to you,  "Fear not, I am the ONE who helps you." Isaiah 41:13     Heading into the 15th day of my fast, I've been working quite hard and trusting God in all things! I’ve been praying for God to bring more girls to join our volleyball team. On Monday, we had the most girls ever. We had 16 girls at practice. It went well. I think it's a little sad that I couldn't talk to all the newcomers but it's okay.      Updates about the boy who was in the psychiatric ward - he came back last week but he isn't doing well. At first, he came back happy. But the girl that he is in love with isn't in love with him! He has attempted  suicide many times already. This situation has weighed heavily on many of us. Please pray for wisdom for the people who are helping him to know what to do and what decisions to make. This is a rough season for this boy. Let's pray in Jesus' name that he will be freed an

Time of Consecration

"For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, 'Fear not, I am the One who helps you.'" Isaiah 41:13 ESV     I should've done this earlier but I guess God really had to take me to a deep and dark place for me to realize I need to consecrate and be sanctified through fasting. I know many others will have different opinions on this but for me personally, I have to do this. I'm tired of letting my emotions lead. I'm tired of being inconsistent in my faith. I'm hungry of change in my life. I'm hungry for God. I've fasted before but it wasn't with the right purpose and I often broke my fast. I'll be honest, when I fasted, I wasn't praying much. I was like a Pharisee I suppose, just fasting to feel holy. I was still relying on myself. Before going to Taiwan in June, I felt that God was saying to fast for 40 days. Getting Back on Track

15 When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. He lifted me up as I headed back to Hope Mountain. A lot of changes were made. I took more initiative to be a leader in the house. For example, I would wake Bella and Corenne up at 8:30am. Daddy's Girl

A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy dwelling. Psalm 68:5 Dad arrived two days after I came back from Campinas. I’m so blessed to be able to see my dad THREE times this year!!! Once was during Chinese New Year in January, the other time was when I was in Taiwan in June, and now in August. What missionary has their father come visit them like this!? This time around, my dad and I both thought that it would be good to spend more time and do some sports activities with the boys. My dad got a free voucher to stay in a hotel for three days, so I tagged along. It was in a city I’ve never explored before. It was nice being able to jog every morning and see the city. The beach was great! We were also really into watching the Olympic Games. So, it was a really relaxing little trip. When we came back to Hope Mountain, everyone seemed happy to see my Dad again. At a birthday party, my dad was asked to pray a blessing over the two people who had their birthdays.
